Don't forget that British Summer Time (BST) begins tomorrow morning if you live in Ireland, the United Kingdom or in Central Europe. The clocks will go forward at 0100hrs meaning that it will actually be 0200hrs. This is my absolute favourite time of the year as it means that we will get to enjoy an extra hour of precious daylight from tomorrow on.
BST typically begins on the last Sunday in March. This year is extra exciting for me because the last Sunday of March falls on the 25th - 'Summer Time' won't begin next year until March 31st. Not only will have have an extra hour of brightness but the days will also be getting longer as we begin to approach the Summer Equinox.
I’m really excited to start enjoying outdoor activities in daylight past 7pm from this week on. I think this significant milestone is also as good an opportunity as any to reflect and take our bearings on the year so far, and more importantly, on how we can better progress for the rest of the year ahead. With this in mind, I’m going to take this as an opportunity to to add three daily activities to improve my overall well being.
From tomorrow I will add: 1. Daily plank exercises, 2. Ensure I find at least 5 minutes of total peace and calm by myself in a quiet space once a day, and 3. Either save or close any browser tabs that I would otherwise leave open!
Anyone else using significant points of the year to adjust reflect on personal development? Let me know in the comments or message me directly here if you need some help hitting targets, meeting goals or maintaining focus!
